Fotografia - Rome's biggest international Photography Festival

Fotografia, Rome’s biggest International Photography Festival, is attracting people from allover the world. Should you visit Italy, make sure you plan a stopover at Rome. Within the next two months, the Italian capital is home to «Fotografia - novecento, la necessità della fotografia». In total, there are 120 exhibitions at 70 different locations throughout Rome, displaying the photographic works of some 200 artists. Themes, all about photography from our last century, cover a wide range of topics. You’ll find for example Martin Parr and his photographic views of Rome and it’s daily invasion by tourists. Guiseppe Cavalli, photographs 1936-1961Also, for the very first time, 40 years after his death, there is the chance to take a look at a great anthological collection, the works of Guiseppe Cavalli and his photographs from 1936-1961. He was an outstanding artist, showing contemporary photography in Italy at it’s best. Lou Reed New York PhotographsBesides an exhibition, dedicated to postcards with suburban areas in the 50ies, there is another one, showing off Lou Reed’s New York, 50 great photos of the city, the Hudson River, and some selfportraits of this rockn’roll legend.
